Recommended Reading Update
I have just uploaded the monthly overhaul of my recommended reading list, dropped a few sites, and re-organized some links. To give you the fresh meat, here are some interesting new sites which I recommend ("new sites" meaning "new to me"):
- Baseline Briefing: Case Studies, Commentary and Tools to help CIOs, CTOs, and IT project managers
- Clay Shirky's Writings about the Internet: Absolutely fabulous insights and analysis into Internet technology, developments, and disruptive innovations.
- Corante: Technology News filtered daily. Perfect selection of articles, very well summarized. Must-read.
- Creative Commons Weblog: The weblog of the Creative Commons project.
- Gary Stein: Jupiter Research analyst covering online advertising and marketing.
- Halley Suitt: Commentaries on life, currently shining with the hilarious guide to becoming an alpha male.
- INSEAD Knowledge: Articles by the French business school's professors. I have been following this site for more than a year but had forgotten to include it on my reading list.
- Jenny Levine ("Shifted Librarian"): Weblog by a technology and librarian expert.
- Joseph Laszlo: Jupiter Research senior analyst covering broadband and wireless technologies.
- Lazy Web: Interesting project where people ask for software features (hopefully) to be picked up by developers and put into reality.
- Maciej Ceglowski: A software researcher and developer in the field of the semantic web.
- Mark Pilgrim: Experienced and influential Web developer speaks out.
- Microsoft Watch: Analysis and news on the most important technology company on the planet.
- Mitch Kapor: Weblog by the founder of Lotus, former Access Partner, and current leader of OSAF.
- Om Malik: Weblog by a senior writer for Red Herring, currently working on a book "Broadbandits".
- Ross Mayfield: Palo Alto-based technology entrepreneur and marketing consultant.
- Scott Loftesness: Consultant, Equity Investor and Mentor Capitalist in the Silicon Value. Actually has several weblogs besides this general one: one on mobile commerce, another one on proximity payment, yet another one on trusted computing, and one on web services.
- Süddeutsche Zeitung Newsletter: Daily newsletter from one of Germany's finer newspapers.
- Z+Blog: Pointers and commentary on the future of design, branding, innovation, sustainability and other emerging issues collected by Z + Partners.
